One minute: how we help you pass

Choose your assessment

Which one are you preparing for?

Most drivers sit SERU and Topographical. Many also have to pass the Speaking and Listening assessment. Start with whichever one you are sitting first.

Assessment 1

SERU

Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding. Open book, taken on a computer, based on the PHV Driver Handbook.

  • 10 full mock sets, marked instantly
  • Fill the gap, multiple choice and reading
  • Practise on your phone anywhere
  • Section by section practice
Assessment 2

Topographical

Route planning and map reading on the new topographical reference map. 100 marks, 70 minutes, two thirds of them for route planning.

  • 10 full mock tests in the real format
  • 3 route plans and 22 multiple-choice questions
  • Your routes marked by hand by a trainer
  • Needs a laptop or computer, not a phone
Assessment 3

Speaking and Listening

TfL's English requirement. Four parts, with a real person over a headset, marked there and then. You can be exempt, so check before you book.

  • One to one lessons with a teacher
  • Practise all four parts of the assessment
  • Listening, speaking and confidence on the day
  • Book only the hours you need

Free tests
