This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use topographyserutests.co.uk, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It is written in plain English on purpose.
Who we are
London Paragon College Limited is the data controller for this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 08158751, at Swarn House, 300 High Street, Acton, London W3 9BJ. Our ICO registration number is ZA068671.
We are an independent training provider. We are not part of Transport for London and we do not issue licences.
What we collect and why

Our legal basis
- Contract. We need your name, email, account details and results to provide the practice tests and marking you have paid for.
- Consent. Analytics cookies load only after you press Accept. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
- Legitimate interests. Keeping the site secure, preventing account sharing and keeping basic records of what we sold to whom.
- Legal obligation. Keeping financial records for as long as the law requires.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.
- Stripe processes payments and holds the card details.
- Google Analytics receives usage data, but only if you accept cookies.
- Our hosting provider stores the website and its database on our behalf.
- We may share information if the law requires it, for example a court order.
We do not send your results or your contact details to Transport for London or to any awarding body.
How long we keep it
- Free test records, including your mobile number: 12 months from your last activity.
- Paid accounts, results and marked route plans: 24 months after your access ends, so you can ask us for your results if you need them.
- Payment and invoice records: six years, because tax law requires it.
- Analytics data: as set in our Google Analytics account.
You can ask us to delete your account sooner. See below.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- A session cookie so you stay logged in while you practise. This is essential and cannot be turned off.
- A cookie called lpc_consent that remembers your cookie choice for 12 months.
- Google Analytics cookies, only after you press Accept.
To change your choice, use the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of any page.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information, where we do not need to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send your information to another provider.
Email info@londonparagoncollege.co.uk and we will reply within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Keeping your information safe
The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Answer keys are held on the server and never sent to your browser. Access is limited to the staff who need it. No system is perfect, so please use a password you do not use anywhere else.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
